ICE-MELTING PERFORMANCE

  MAG® is a highly effective ice melter that works quickly and produces more melted water with less product used. Thanks to its composition, MAG® outperforms traditional de-icing agents such as calcium and sodium chloride, especially at low temperatures.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

  A serious environmental concern is the amount of chlorides entering our lakes, rivers, and other water bodies. MAG® releases significantly fewer chlorides into the environment compared to most other de-icing chemicals. This makes it a more environmentally friendly choice that protects soil, plants, and water resources.      

IMPACT ON CONCRETE AND METAL

  MAG® causes less damage to concrete surfaces compared to calcium and sodium chloride. However, the use of any de-icer is not recommended on new concrete (less than one year old). MAG® is also significantly less corrosive to metal surfaces than most salts, reducing the risk of damage to vehicles and infrastructure.    

TOXICITY AND SAFETY

  MAG® has low toxicity and is safer for contact with humans, pets, and plants.It does not cause a strong heat reaction upon contact with moist skin and does not irritate surfaces. In addition, it contains magnesium — an element used in some fertilizers — which supports healthy plant growth.
